Embracing Connection: A Grateful Black Friday Teaching Experience
In the spirit of Thanksgiving and Black Friday, I had the incredible opportunity to give a class on Sustainable Agile as part of the Academy for Creativity, all the way from the USA to my hometown of Mexico City. The virtual setting allowed me to connect with the vibrant community I grew up in, sharing my experiences and knowledge with fellow enthusiasts.
Teaching on Black Friday took on a new meaning as I found myself not caught up in the hustle of shopping but rather in the joy of imparting valuable insights. It was a heartwarming experience to give back to my community during the holiday season, sharing my journey in the Agile world with the talented individuals back home.
The online platform bridged the distance and brought us together for an enriching session. Witnessing the eagerness of participants to embrace Sustainable Agile practices was truly uplifting. As I shared my experiences and insights, I felt a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and learning of my fellow community members.
In these moments of connection and collaboration, I am reminded of the power of technology to bring people together, irrespective of geographical boundaries. The ability to give back to my roots while being miles away is a testament to the strength of community bonds and the endless possibilities that arise from sharing knowledge.
As the class concluded, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of fulfillment and gratitude. Teaching on Thanksgiving and Black Friday became a unique way for me to express my thanks by sharing the wealth of knowledge and experience I've gained. It's moments like these that remind us of the beauty of giving back, especially when it involves sharing with those who have been a part of our journey from the beginning
